You know that it’s going to be a great day when Seattle finally gives you clear skies and the reception is going to be on a boat.

This is how one of our initial conversations went:
F+B: “We are going to have the reception on a boat.”
KVW: “Awesome!”
F+B: “Yes, there’s going to be a boat. We also want to include the photo booth”

As Usher would say:

“Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh my gosh…”

Felise and Ben with their fun loving attitude, grace and radiance defined their wedding day (if not their marriage for years to come). I have never seen such a production where practically everyone was involved from the beginning to end. Volunteers helped set up and decorate the church, sang songs, served dinner, performed poetry and even cleaned up! To you guys, I hope to contribute towards that shared love. Congratulations again you two!

I’m on a boat, with a photo booth!

As I start to offload all my images into my setup for Felise and Ben’s beautiful wedding, I started checking out some of the videos that was taken that night on their Argosy Cruise reception. The video below was of the last couple photos taken in the omg-i-love-taking-fun-photos-of-people-dressed-up-screaming photo booth (trademark pending). It took the ENTIRE night before we could get the lovely bride and groom into their own booth where all the guests were cheering them on as they hammed it up in front of the camera. And of course, that cheer quickly turned into a yell-at-the-top-of-your-lungs group shot to conclude the night. Special thanks to my team (Billy and John) again for making the night mind blasting!

Felise + Ben: 11.12.2009 Engagement Shoot

“Bring your rain boots and bring an umbrella” I thought. Fortunately our luck brought us a nice Seattle overcast that scared away most of the tourists. Felise, Ben and I paid a visit to one of the more colorful historical spots in the city: the Gum Wall. We made our way to the Gum Wall to later discover two other wedding parties getting their photos taken as well. Who knew it was so popular?! In any case, Felise and Ben had something no other group had.. bubble gum! The ultimate prop for our occasion.

Once we literally wrapped up at the gum wall, we walked through Pike Place market and over to Olympic Sculpture Park for a fun last stop. Thank you Felise and Ben for being such amazing people. I don’t think I could have asked for a better “wave!”
